MOST UNDESIRABLE MONTH

Venus is all about pleasure, desire, money, women and things that are ‘sugar and spice and all things nice’
Women and little girls are being targeted, abused, killed and treated in a most unsavoury manner. Just reading media and looking on Facebook it is appalling to see how this is escalating. Some dude even posted that marriage to young girls is perfectly normal; after all it is written in the Bible…really!!!!! Clearly he does not have daughters.
Why this escalation we ask? Venus right now is stationary therefore extremely vulnerable with little power to act. When Venus went into Scorpio her motion slowed and Venus in Scorpio is in her most unhappy place. In this placing, negative things can occur such as destruction, struggle, obsession and conflict. Women can behave in an undesirable sarcastic manner and men can react aggressively.
Generally as Venus transits through Scorpio things are difficult and pleasurable tasks become challenging. But because Venus is retrograding in Scorpio we will experience all the undesirable traits of Scorpio. Not a great time for any type of plastic surgery…
Scorpio as natural ruler of sexual organs is known for its deep sensual sexual behaviour which is great, but when the dark side is triggered with Venus retrograding in Scorpio, abuse and deviant sexual behaviour increases. Jealousy will rear its ugly head causing many an unhappy end.

At the same time in America an article was submitted showing over 31 thousand deaths due to gun violence and a study in Canada showed that in 2010 there were over 102,500 victims of intimate partner violence.
Scorpio is a deep and mysterious sign that harbours deep seething emotional feelings. In a positive light Scorpio energy brings about ambition, efficiency, courage, as well as transformative resourceful and intuitive solutions. This is what we can take from this horrible cycle, note what has been exposed and to put in solutions to prevent such deviant energy.
Our action this month is to be innovative by thinking out of the box. Innovative humane actions will come to the fore and this is what will help fix any broken situations we have been dealing with and could be dealing with this month of October. Mars the natural ruler of Scorpio is in Aquarius a social humane, clever sign. Action with thought is the way we can manage whatever challenges us, keep a cool head and apply brains before emotions.
Where Venus is transiting in your birth chart will highlight where this intense energy is affecting and potentially benefitting you. For some it is pushing us to up our game no matter what. Loss brings transformation, be it money, work or love, any loss triggers action and action with thought and courageous bravery is the solution.
Intuition…trust it, it is the universal message that can keep you from entering into a dangerous situation or it can enlighten you to a transformative, lucrative and positive ah ha idea.
There is so much Scorpio energy this month, Jupiter has been is Scorpio all year and is nearing the end of his journey this month. Jupiter has demanded change and transformation in BIG way, and we certainly have witnessed huge changes within our lives and the world around us. Lots of death and endings have occurred and in many cases most needed, endings bring about new and transformative change.
Mercury moves into Scorpio in the second week of this month, so our thought and communication will tend towards ambition, efficiency and resourcefulness. Just be very aware of sarcastic and vindictive speech. Resentment and deep stubborn unforgiving behaviour or feelings will not be helpful, so at all times try to remember the art of control and the fact that kind words bring smiles and positive results.
At least Saturn is in a good space being in the sign he rules. Both Saturn and Capricorn call out for discipline and growth. To quote Myrna Loftus, when Saturn is in the sign of Capricorn it brings about a desire to cease being a sheep and ability to use your own feet to work out salvation.
Brilliant time for Saturn to be in such a strong position in the heavens because this month of October will point out our weak spots, but not only ours, those around us will have to face what is not right as well as overcome loss. Big decisions will be the theme of October…crunch time.

With so much stress surrounding us it is very difficult to manage how we control the outcome of what the future holds. This feeling of constant anxiety due to a loss of control can accelerate into a heightened state of stress.
Exercise is one of the most effective ways of managing anxiety, even if it is a brisk 30 minute walk a day. Get more sleep, sleep helps calm the brain, and normalise our thought process.
When feeling stressed and anxious a good cup of chamomile tea can help calm you down, it is the Matricarie recutita compound in the tea that binds to the anxiety producing receptors in the brain. A good chamomile tea can be purchased from health shops.
Lemon Balm was used in the middle Ages to reduce stress, anxiety and help with sleep problems. It would be a wonderful idea to go out and buy your own Lemon Balm plant, then you can seep the leaves in hot water or add them to a salad.
With all these natural remedies overdosing or too much can bring about a negative effect, so as with anything in life use these teas within reason.
Anger is so debilitating so I looked up a way for managing anger and found that it can deplete our vitamin B. Niacin which is B3 produces feel good chemicals in the brain, if you feel good it’s hard to get angry. Alcohol, coffee, fizzy drinks and chocolates are all stimulating and can aggravate anxiety, so the above are not helpful, limit the intake.
Thank goodness I love peas and mushrooms, keep calm and find your happy space, spoil yourself as this is a hard month.
