JULY 2017 NEWSLETTER
DANGEROUS FULL MOON AND POWER STRUGGLES
The Month of July kicks off with power struggles and no respect for ethics or morals. Sounds very much like the political foundation of my country, South Africa, but we do not stand alone as this is happening worldwide.
MARS OPPOSES PLUTO
Mars the action driven warrior is angry and emotional, fighting for security. His opponent is Pluto a planet well known for its ability to cause death, change and dire conditions.
This is a dangerous time as this transit signifies acts of violence even personal and physical assault. Terror attacks have been building in strength, we will see a turn around as retaliation attacks will occur.
On a personal platform the need for retaliation will be strong. What has been brewing under the surface could come to blows, be they verbal or physical. Whatever situation or inequality you are fighting for, will be met with resistance making reconciliation or change extremely difficult. So tread with caution should any disagreement pop up.
Don’t be surprised if you find yourself coping with deep personal struggles. You need to express them, bring it out into the open, from this point you can make positive change in your life. These struggles can render your powerless, if you choose not to attempt change.
The energy is high and in a positive manner we can use this energy to implement positive change. If there is a problem in any area of life…offer a solution.
Both transiting planets are in Cardinal signs, Mars in Cancer and Pluto in Capricorn, so there is a strong need to take action to create security yet we are faced with a powerful opposing situation intent on continually destroying structures of security we seek.
The first weekend of July warns one to be careful of impulsive shopping, be aware of tricksters and thieves. Venus will be blindsided by Uranus and seduced into rash spending and tempting investment schemes.
Venus will move into Gemini on the 7th, a strong desire for communication, trivia and gimmicks. Venus in Gemini desires intellectual pursuits, networking, trendsetting and a need for the latest technology.
Venus is the planet of love and desire, connection with loved one is important. The ability to share and communicate with each will be strong. If single you may find yourself attracted to trendy, frivolous fun people or lured into the sensual mind of an intellectual love interest.
This is a great month to socialise and connect; in June many of us started working hard and productively, despite Neptune exposing flaws and holding up the works. This hard work will begin paying off, now is the time to go to the next level of growth, charm and wit with ability to express ourselves is possible.
It is a good month for speaking out and writing, the desire to connect and share is strong. Writing and public speaking will become easier. If you have something to say, then from the 7th of July get up on your box and share it, or write an article.
In the last week of July Mercury will move into Virgo, this is really good as Mercury loves to be busy and organised when in Virgo. So organise your life, put in systems, and be analytical about your work or any project you are working on and work hard.
If you are not organised then this transit will give you a lesson on the value of creating a system and organising your life. Mercury will be in Virgo for longer than usual, about 8 weeks, so this will give us time to plan, organise, re-organise, analyse and just make life work.
Half way through the Month Neptune will begin to move out of his station, still very slow but at least not still. The ugly truths have been coming out of the woodwork, even personal ones, and will continue doing so. The positive side to this is when you face the truth you are set free.
This exposure of facts and deceptions and seeing the reality of situations has made June very challenging, especially the beginning, but for the rest of things June was a good month. Once you can see things for what they are you can move on.
Neptune will continue exposing corruption, good and evil for the next two weeks or so. From mid July we will be able to face the truth of what we have denied and make plans to refocus our understanding on what is real. Face the honest facts of life, once we can do that we can begin to repair or renegotiate our lives.
I liken this energy to that of a pothole, when it is full of water it looks deceptively harmless and flat, take the water out and we have a deep and destructive hole. The good news is we can see this destructive hole, now we need to negotiate and repair it or even avoid that road. This is life!
On the 9th of July at 6 06am we will experience a full Moon in Capricorn, this will happen right next to Pluto which can bring out some petty explosive emotions. Full Moon in Capricorn is time to grow up and take responsibility for your own emotional outbursts.
As hard as it may seem at the time, when you are dealing with intense emotional stuff, don’t let it control you. With Pluto so close to the Moon the personal monsters you are dealing with are not necessarily real. Try as hard as you can to let go of any preconceptions…let life and whatever is unfolding around you happen, don’t get sucked in, just let it be.
A Capricorn full Moon is not sociable and has a strong tendency to withdraw, add Pluto to the mix and you may find yourself emotionally spiralling into a dark place. You cannot blame anyone for this emotional dip, it is your stuff and you need to grow up and take responsibility for your emotional behaviour.
This full Moon conjunct Pluto can expose you to strong feelings that can completely overwhelm you for a time. Do not overestimate the significance of your feelings as they may be exposing a deeply disturbing emotion which could develop into an obsession. This wares off as the Moon begins to wane.
Relationships during this full Moon expose deep emotional feelings; this could be either good or bad. Just don’t fall into the trap of playing power games with each other. Manipulation, jealousy and possessiveness are the games played to gain control over one another.
The full Moon in Capricorn demands maturity and focus, grow up, face your emotions head on and do not play games.
That being said, we are all going to be affected by this Moon, personally or through someone close who feels emotionally fraught. This Moon is highlighting emotional maturity and self-discipline; if we can rise above our fears and insecurities we can stay strong and rise above the tide.
Good grief, the months do not get easier, but if we are aware of how to manage the transits we will have opportunities for growth. Aches and pains seem to flare up in the cold winter months.
One of the reasons for this is a lack of hydration, we are inclined to carry around our bottles of water in the warmer months, but come winter, that bottle just stays at home. By not drinking enough water your body can feel achier because your body is not able to effectively process waste products. They remain trapped in your tissues and lymph.
It is wonderful to drink warm drinks in winter but understand that a lot of them are natural diuretics, such as the green teas and caffeinated drinks which dry your system. A simple solution to this achy feeling is to drink water, flush out the toxic waste, and feel good.
We bundle up in the cold weather making movement difficult and restricted. This can also have an effect on our body creating pain and fatigue. If we get too cold we may unconsciously tense our bodies which can take a toll on our muscles making us feel achier at the end of the day.
Take time out during the day for some brisk walking and stretching, keep going to gym, or make an effort to keep that body moving. Introduce office chair aerobics into your life.
I must say that the water out of our taps in winter is delicious, perfect temperature, and it is free!!! Drink away the achy feelings.
