JANUARY 2017 ASTROLOGY NEWS
WHAT DOES ASTROLOGY SAY ABOUT 2017?
With a feeling of discouragement and low energy we begin our 2017 year and Month. It is an uncomfortable feeling where we are letting the actions of the past infiltrate into our vision of the future.
Mercury is retrograde and Mars the planet of action is feeling sluggish as he wades through the turbulent waters of Pisces.
With Venus joining the party the desire for self indulgent slothfulness waiting for nice things to just happen, such as falling into the arms of the perfect lover or new career or even business partnership. It needs to be kept real people; we need to shake off idealism and procrastination.
What we need to do is relook at the structure we have in place, take your time don’t build Rome in a day, this is not plausible. Think carefully about your action plan for the year, let go of invalid ideals and focus on reality but give yourself wriggle room as this year will be full of surprises as the world changes.
Yes we enter the New Year with the shadow of the past years doom dragging us down It was a horrible year full of anger, death and loss. Though it has been a really tough 2016 we need to see the positive side of how we have had to make the changes to survive. And we did, many walked away from toil and others took it head on. Whichever way we managed 2016 is irrelevant, keeping the vision of a better future is important.
Basically if we can only see the wounded broken terrain of the past, our path forward will become stuck. But if we can see the possibility of growth through the debris we can climb our way onto the path of ease and success. Morn the past, then look forward, it’s challenging but there are so many opportunities if we take the time and courage to find them.
Life in 2016 has taken a severe pruning, but in 2017 the cut backs will allow for new growth. Out of the lifeless wood we can see the beginnings of new green saplings, but only if we are prepared to look.
January is a reflective month, be kind to yourself and take the time to start the year carefully and with a pace that is focused and practically structured. This month is important as it lays the foundation for the year ahead. Believe me February will be a very action driven busy month.
With Venus in Pisces we can play passive role, it is poetically creative and will bring about the need for that perfect relationship, be it love or work. This is a time to find the beauty within, because without that you will not find the beauty in others.
Forming alliances and relationships, even good partnerships will become an overwhelming desire. It is a good month to understand yourself and exactly what you desire in your relationships, just be very aware of tricksters or being seduced by pretty words and unrealistic dreams.
It is a month where we can build new relationships and find that perfect partner, if we take off our rose colour glasses. Any deal and contracts will be more binding if signed after the Mercury retrograde around the 13th of January.
Make no mistake this year is all about that perfect union, companies will merge, business will share the load even contract out, and collisions between people and companies will form.
In January we need to take the time to understand exactly what partnerships or associates can do to benefit all parties, creating growth, and expansion in a structured yet versatile manner.
By taking time this month to plan carefully, let go of the past yet keep the lessons learnt, we can certainly set ourselves up for a successful and productive year.
February is crunch time, make decisions and begin the process of finding and sealing that perfect match…or as close as perfect, let’s keep it real. Because in March Venus goes retrograde, this is a period where love and values are reassessed.
We may even find there are delays in relationships and business or even financial affairs. Once again life hits the pause button as we iron delays and confusion. The stock market can take a big beating, so just be careful of unrealistic investment or shady advice from financial advisers or partners. Manage you accounts well and watch your cash flow. If you do all this in work and assessing in Jan and Feb. by the end of April you will have a better vision of the way forward in 2017.
It will be a year beginning slowly; it will have many changes and collisions. Markets will rise and fall like a yoyo and many a damaged career and relationship could slowly repair or end.
Being depressed by situations that have occurred in the past year will keep you down, and in some cases continually angry and judgmental. This will stand in the way of potential growth. Life has experienced a quantum shift be it politics, race or career, we cannot control it, but we can control how we adapt to life in this changing world.

Gosh so many of us are suffering from skin ailments. January is a great time to begin caring for your skin. It is after all the most important organ as it protects every part of our body.
Capillaries and lymph nodes are found just under the surface of the skin, they transport nutrients and oxygen. If we neglect this system we can experience problems.
One of the most common skin diseases is eczema, an inflammatory condition with redness, itching, oozing lesions which become scaly and crusted. Eczema is caused by an allergic reaction to foods, chemicals, perfumes and soaps as well as stress.
When stressed, your body will try to protect you by boosting inflammation to your skin. Solution is to manage your day better and reduce your stress levels, simplify your life.
But when the damage is already done and eczema has taken hold there is a brilliant very old remedy where an oatmeal bath can moisturise and sooth the skin. The components in oatmeal have anti-inflammatory properties, the components also reduce itchiness. Just fill a muslin bag with a cup of wheat free oats and let the bath water filter through the bag. Relax in the milky water.
Applying Jojoba and coconut oils to the affected areas will certainly sooth and reduce dryness. Keep a jar at the ready and use whenever the need to scratch occurs.
But for any lasting success you will need to address your diet and stress, as healing starts within. No better time than at the beginning of a new year to begin with a healthy eating plan and carefully planned lifestyle.
Hmmm I am thinking of marketing muslin bags fill with oats…now what a way to start a year, with a good productive thought. I wish you all my readers a year of hope and growth.
