YESTERDAY I WAS CLEVER – TODAY I AM WISE
MAY 2018 NEWSLETTER

Many of us are coming out of a month that has brought about many revelations and difficulties. It was a very busy exhausting month that for some has been productive and others destructive.
Remember out of destruction comes an opportunity for growth. This is not always pleasant but if managed with a positive attitude focusing on the future rather than looking back, the ability to come through any situation is possible.
There is no time for pity parties or giving up, this month we begin by licking any wounds we have, getting over ourselves let any fears, or failures go. They belong to the past and can only restrict the future. Survivors take what is useful and pioneer a new way of being.
There is a Comet called Chiron in the heavens and this Comet exposes wounds, but it also heals. When wounding is recognised one will realise how internal wounds drain energy. Chiron after 8+ years in Pisces is now moving into Aries…
This is the sign most in tune with personal action, a time for us to look for enlightenment and purpose as we enter into our next level of personal growth. To do this we need to find the courage to own our personal power.
I got a message from one of my clients quoted from e-buddhism.com while writing this…a perfect description of Chiron in Aries ‘Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.’
The universal wounding of the past 8 years with Chiron in Pisces has been the lack of boundaries or rules, there has been a sense of idealism, betrayal, and victimisation. It has been a period of denial, alarming hacking, and exposure of the dark web, addictions to Facebook, television and gaming, sexual abuse and harassment has been unveiled. Pisces energy can bring about a blurring of the edges.
In the 1960’s when Chiron was last in Pisces we saw the rise of the Hippies, Rock and Roll, the Beatles and Martin Luther King’s civil rights movement, racial equality movements, environmental movement, gay and lesbian movement, student movement, peace movement, and many others. Mothers shifted from housewives into working mothers leaving their children to find their own way. The healing has been the legalisation of gay lesbian marriages, strong anti-poaching legislation, and awareness of how we are polluting our land and oceans and racial reconciliation.
Universal rules that have been broken have come around to haunt us, the pollution and devastation to our oceans and land due to unrecyclable litter is destroying our planet … the damage has been done, the rules have been broken and now we need to face what has been done, get over it and find a way out of this mess. Well Chiron in Aries is here so we can do it.
With Chiron entering Aries the pioneering driven sign, we can expect a new sense of self identity a drive to break free from traditional beliefs or limiting lifestyles. As the ruling planet Mars is in Capricorn we certainly can become more focused and practical in the way we handle life and what comes our way. It is a time where the wounded quickly recover because the focus is busy and action driven, no time to sweat the small stuff.
It is very interesting as we have just had a bi-election for our Ward, and one of the candidates was an independent man who was willing to take on the task. We will see a lot more of this sort of activity in the next 8 – 9 years.
The danger here is becoming overly impulsive and selfish in the way you take ownership of your identity. This could leave you feeling isolated as you inadvertently push people away.
Life is moving on faster than we realise yet slower than we think. With Jupiter and Saturn both just moving out of their station retrograding we have the time to see how we can bring order into our lives.
If there are areas in your life that need attention you now have the time to reflect and re-look at how you can bring order back into your life. As these two planets spend a couple of months in a retrograde motion the situations that crop up are not critical, rather longstanding and there is time to work on them.
Both planets are politically charged, a lot has happened rather quickly, now things slow down and decisions will be revised, structure will be re-evaluated. Many a deep and hidden secret will be exposed. Reshuffling will be the name of the game for the next few months, this will happen throughout all areas of life.
With Chiron being very brave and pioneering the reshuffling and change can be met head on without emotion with an action driven purpose for the greater good. But if impulsive selfish motives come into the picture this can be dangerous, especially for areas on the brink of war.
The many changes and higher numbers of deaths we are seeing are attributed to Jupiter in Scorpio. Scorpio is known as the sign of death and transformation, Jupiter the planet of lots. Whilst in his station, this energy was potent and a higher incidence of death has been noted.
Death can mean many things, endings, change, and transformation among a few. I do not know about you, but I am experiencing a lot of changing events in my life, some good some not. With the retrograde energy it is time to reflect on the changes and to go all out to restructure our lives for a better future.
An example of the Chiron, Jupiter and Saturn energy is that there is no money left to manage our Ward, due to corruption and misuse of funds. We could have a pity party over the fact that our suburbs are a mess or we can do the action pioneering thing and sort out our own problems.
It is time to face facts as they are, not as we deem them to be. The planets are providing us with the energy to take on the simple tasks ourselves. As communities in crisis, working together to improve our own space is the way forward. Survive or wallow in misery and mess, an individual choice to get involved is the solution.
Another big event happening in the heavens mid month is Uranus the planet has the ability to suddenly enlightens us to the good, bad and ugly will move from angry Aries into practical Taurus. Uranus has super innovative powers and is the planet responsible for freedom, revolution and rebellion.
During his 6 year stint in Aries we have seen many revolutions, rebellions, child abuse and violent youth movements, the ability to break away from limitations and allowing freedom of speech. Uranus in Aries has been the wakeup call we need to understand the violence a weapon wielded in anger can bring about.
So I personally am relieved it enters into the practical stable sign of Taurus. Taurus is about you own personal possessions, it is about money and material possessions as Taurus is an earth sign, it is about the earth we live on, our planet.
Financial systems will be changing.
With the revolutionary planet moving into the Money market expect surprises and sudden unpredictable and revolutionary when it comes to banking, your money, and investments. The banking act in the USA 1935 came into being last time Uranus was in Taurus. It was also the end of the great depression.
Tax will become an interesting topic as changes regarding tax laws could come about. Bit-coin and the like may become a taxable commodity.
Money in a sense has become very unaffordable, so loans and the ability to afford houses is becoming a huge restriction for many. Uranus wants freedom, in Taurus, freedom in money. I am interested to watch this spot as people start to rebel against the high interest rates charged.
Already in our country we have this energy emerging as people fight for the right to own unused land and in some cases land belonging to others. In our country we are seeing the beginnings of potential solutions, where farmers have taken on the task of training the underprivileged in the way of farming, those that do well get to own a portion of the farm of gain shares. Revolutionary methods of farming will arise; we are already seeing this as some innovative people are using roof tops as commercial gardens.
Taurus is about heritage and history, so this era should bring about some interesting situations.
Personally this will affect all of us and our money, be aware of what is going on around you. Be ready for sudden change and manage disasters should they strike. Take extra care to be on top of your financial affairs. Be ready to activate a plan B and be open to new ways of managing your finances.
Our money becomes a key focus, its function is to give us freedom to live the life we want, to have this freedom we need to understand what revolutionary changes are happening in the money markets and be ready to move with the direction money and investment trends are going.
Did you know that 90% of the cause of ingrown toenails is due to a fungal infection?
If you suffer from ingrown toenails this could be of great help. First go to a podiatrist and get a swab taken just confirm that it is athletes foot and not some other cause.
If the culture shows fungus or athletes foot, try a natural remedy before going through expensive and painful procedures.
Anti fungal treatments are expensive so I looked up some natural cures. The most inexpensive cure is Tee tree oil. After your bath or shower swab the oil around and under your nail. Do this when you put on closed shoes as well. Within a few weeks you will start to feel the effects, Tee Tree has the added advantage of killing off any unpleasant odours.
Apple Cider is another well know treatment for this condition. Put 1 – 2 cups of cider into a bowl of hot water and soak your feet for 10 minutes. It is very relaxing, detoxing, will destroy the fungus, take away itching and odour.
Apple cider vinegar has been used since the times of Hippocrates, when it was prized for its medicinal properties and known to be especially beneficial against yeast and fungus, people take it internally to keep Candida in balance.
An apple a day…seems to keep a lot away.
