MARCH 2018 NEWSLETTER
BACKWARDS AND FORWARDS
This could be a confusing Month where life in general is not very clear. Changing gear, reversing and generally feeling all over the place is how you may feel.
The beginning of March you may have you feeling unclear of what’s in stock for you and how you are to move forward on certain projects and with certain relationships, if not then you may just be tad uncertain about life.
Then on the 7th it will be all systems go as you have focus and can see a clear way forward… only to come to a halt around the 18th.
Why?… well Mercury is on a mission after wading through a water sign where communication and daily movements are murky and difficult, move on to the 7th and Mercury moves into the cardinal fire sign Aries where all systems are full speed ahead.
Just as we are picking up speed and things are happening, Mercury will station, in other words communication, routine and projects will hit a bump in the road. This triggers around the18th of March as Mercury stations and turns retrograde in Aries.
This could be a good thing as it slows impulsive actions down and makes us reflect on a better more pioneering way to do things, so impulsive behaviour may end up backfiring or petering out, and then it is back to the drawing board or retracing your steps to see where you dropped the ball.
Mercury in Aries brings us a powerful pioneering energy, quick wit, impulsive speech and actions. There is a lack of patience so we may be tactless and impatient and want things to happen yesterday.
Normally if Mercury in Aries is moving in good motion we can expect and can make things happen immediately, but as it retrogrades it all breaks apart creating frustration and outburst of anger. People around you will be quick to temper, as will you, so just be aware of this energy.
This will occur when travelling, road rage and irrational sudden accidents, both on foot or by car. This is a two sided coin as irrational and selfish you may find others they too will find you. Guys just avoid short cuts in work, travel and play, you may find the short cut becomes a very long drawn out consequence.
Mercury will only go direct mid April when things get back to a bit of normality.
One positive thing about this retrograde that is ruled by Mars and action, is the fact that if we focus and put in structures, things can really happen, and happen in a good successful way.
The drive for March focuses strictly on making the right action in a structured way. A lot of restructuring is needed during this energy. We need to look back into the past and see what worked and what did not. Reflect on positive transformative actions rather than impulsive idealistic irrational ways of fixing things and making things happen.
Jupiter the planet of plenty and growth is also going retrograde and is also ruled by Mars. Mars in Capricorn can be patient and persistent as well as responsible, but at the same time not really a team player, rather self reliant. Though success is important, irritability and temper flares can easily occur and should be controlled.
Jupiter is also going Retrograde so it is really a good time to reflect on the big changes going on around us. There is so much change it can feel overwhelming, but embrace the changes and reflect on how to manage new ways of accepting the ever evolving circles of life moving forward. Only look back as reminder of what went wrong in the past, then move forward with the lesson learnt.
The change and transformation we are experiencing will have hiccups, in fact many hiccups along the way. But for now the best form of change is that which is done in a professional and structured way. So if change is rushed …it won’t work out well and send us back to the drawing board.
This whole year is going to be a year of change and restructuring, in March we begin to see the challenges that it takes to bring about change, the realisation that it will not happen overnight will come to the fore. So be prepared for things around as they change and adapt to a new way of making the changes work. I you wish to make change happen, awesome but do so in a structured and well thought out manner. Also be prepared to accept that it will need a few attempts to sort out your life and make the necessary changes.
Well change of season is upon us and with this change comes allergies and sinus problems. As the energy of the planets are up and down so too is the weather. Inflamed nasal cavities are breeding grounds for infections a number one entrance level for infections.
I was chatting to a severely lung compromised man due to being paralysed from the chest down. He never gets sick and is running an active business dealing with clients all day; I really admire this chap…a lot.
How does he prevent allergies and lung problems, I asked him? Any infection could prove fatal as he cannot cough and will end up in hi-care. His answer was so practical simple and very affordable it made me sit up a take notice. Nasal washes every morning and at times of concern in the evenings an hour before bed.
I looked up a good recipe for a mix that can be used in a neti pot, sinus squeeze bottle or bulb syringe.
- ½ to 1 teaspoon non-iodized salt, such as pickling or canning salt (ionized salt can irritate the nasal passages)
- Pinch of baking soda (to prevent burning –can increase the amount as needed)
- 1 cup of warm water (distilled or previously boiled water) Please do not use tap water as this could contain harmful amoeba which can get into your brain, especially now with our water being so compromised.
The most convenient way to perform a sinus rinse is in the shower, but may also be performed over a sink. Rinse one side of your nose until the water comes out clear then repeat the process using the other nostril.
Do this every morning and you may certainly find yourself suffering from less sinus infections and nasal allergies, therefore less chest infections. Due to less inflammation of the nasal cavities you will sleep better at night and as we all know sleep is the best medicine of them all.
