CALM FOCUS IS KEY

In the South we are experiencing our autumn equinox which actually began on the 20th of this Month. On the day of an equinox, daytime and nighttime are of approximately equal in duration all over the planet. The word is derived from the Latin aequinoctium, from aequus (equal) and nox (genitive noctis) (night).
This period of time is extremely important because it is where we find the powerful cardinal angles which are points of energy manifesting. The autumn period is very busy shedding what is no longer useful and the spring period is about new cycles.
The trials and tribulations of Mercury continue, combine this with the autumn equinox and the theme of shedding is almost forced upon us.
If something is broken or has not gone according to plan, possessions that have gone missing or even been stolen, expect the due process to take a lot longer than imagined.
Renovation, building and projects will take longer than expected and may not go according to plan. Whatever has been done in a rush or without thought will fail and need to be redone.
Mercury retrograding in a fire sign is destructive and angry, when it is direct in motion we will become more action driven, impatient and strongly pioneering. This is when we can expect our lives to get back to normal, and rather quickly.
The time line for this is towards the end of this Month and by the 4th of May life begins to flow in the right direction.
The good news is that we have help; Mars the action planet is very strong and methodical in the sign of Capricorn. We have time to focus in a practical way, if impractical in your focus, expect failure.
This ultimately means that we can sort out all the havoc retrograde Mercury has been causing. How one may ask? Well for one, accept the process will take longer than you wish or need it to. Secondly you need to approach any situation in a professional, methodical and structured manner.
Mars is energy driven in Capricorn, it arouses the need for ambition and achievement, and we will find that we have the ability to work extremely hard on any given project.
The down side of this is conflict with authority figures, some co-workers or people in your life my feel threatened by your drive to get ahead and block your effort to solve problems.
Yes we can all make great progress to achieve our goals, but we will need to negotiate how other people’s attitude and self interest can cause conflict. Should this arise it is wiser to play down the conflict unless it is absolutely necessary if something real and urgent is at stake. Even in this scenario…be calm as a bossy negative and aggressive approach will get you nowhere fast.
The first week of April will be a frustrating and irritating, action can be restricted as Mars connects with Saturn. Any aspect to Saturn can lose its power and momentum, especially noticeable when Mars and Saturn merge..
This aspect has the ability to create tension and can result in active conflict which is very destructive, you may find yourself seething within as you try to hide and control your anger. The way to manage this deep seated powder keg burring within is to put your head down and bury yourself in work on one or other project that is meaningful to you.
This intense and restrictive aspect goes down on Easter Monday; we can at least avoid a work situation. But if your family or personal space is not moving according to plan, find solitude in some meaningful activity, just walk away from tension and work on your own peace of mind.
Really try to avoid any dangerous activity as that may not turn out well for you especially if this transit actively connects with any planet in your own natal charts.
I personally will bury myself in my studies, keeping well away from danger and conflict. By Tuesday this transit will have passed.
Around the 27th we can expect another spanner in the works as bosses, authority figures and people you are in contact with in your everyday life can come into the picture and cramp your style. Angry words and impulsive reaction could cause things to flare out of control. Perhaps put a note in your calendar to be nice and keep calm for that day.
The reason we may be experiencing feelings of disorientation as our perspectives are shifting is because Saturn is in his station as he move retrograde. The building of new structures and focus in our lives will be on hold this month.
The weight of responsibility will sit heavily within us and motivation comes to a standstill, life is hard and it can feel as if things are just not happening or going our way. Exhaustion and depression can set in during this whole month of Saturn’s station be aware that life as we know it or want it to be will not move ahead as fast as we expect or want it to.
The upside to this is as life slows down we have a chance to see the errors we are making: reconnect and reassess the purpose of our structures, duties and to realize our limits. We have no option but to take a step back, simplify our lives, delays can give us a chance to refine our work. So if you are experiencing these ponderous delays take the time to re-evaluate and simplify the way you are approaching your work and projects.
As with the political environment in our country, there have been big changes and transformation, many things promised and many things misunderstood. It is a time for our leaders to take a step back and reassess how they are going about wielding their power and promises.
Changes and effective reshuffling of people, employees is needed, the reshuffling process will be very slow, and if the leaders are wise, carefully thought out.
Misunderstanding, manipulation and misuse of any weak or unclear policies will affect all of us. It will take time before the mischief makers go too far and that is when they will need to pull back and reassess their agendas.
Venus is all about desire and she is moving into Taurus on the 1st, which is our money, all things delightful, such as love, food and beauty. This transiting Venus is bringing light in this challenging and rather oppressive Month of April. It is a time for us to fulfil our passions and desires. Appreciate beauty and take time out form harsh reality to enjoy the beauty and gifts this blue planet has on offer. Indulge in your artistic nature and desire.
I continue to offer mini readings for R300 which will focus on the transits of the Month and guide you in how to negotiate them. My new email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
Injuries and Pain will a theme for March, some of you will be recovering others will need to work through a rehab process. Seeking healing for pain and injuries is important, a niggle left too long will become a debilitating restriction.
Turmeric is a very powerful pain reliever Turmeric contains curcumin, a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Most studies used turmeric extracts that are standardized to include large amounts of curcumin.
Turmeric contains powerful bioactive properties, but sadly the dose needed is far higher than that which we find in our food. For effective doses get the concentrated form from health shops, it needs to be taken with some black pepper corns or with foods containing fats.
The properties are great, from pain and inflammatory management to mental health or brain disorders are well documented, so to counter act the possible depressive moods this month may bring about think about including this marvellous natural herb into your diet. The anti-oxidant properties are great and Turmeric is known to improve cardiac disease and prolong health.
Till next month take care and enjoy the holidays.
